My name is Arienne Patano. I am a researcher at Michigan State University (MSU) College of Nursing. Through my community-engaged research, I hope to improve health outcomes for individuals with life-limiting illness and their friends and family members who assist and support their care.
My current work examines the emotional well-being of family caregivers in rural areas while providing home-based end-of-life care to their loved one.
The Caregiver Support Team at the MSU College of Nursing is actively recruiting for a rural caregiver study. We hope to learn more about the social and personal factors that influence caregiving in rural Michigan. For more information, please email us at patanoar@msu.edu.
In addition to my role as a researcher, I am a hospice registered nurse. My work allows me to serve diverse populations, including those from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds and residents from rural areas with limited access to healthcare services.
I am dedicated and deeply passionate about serving and giving back to my community.
