About Michelle
Michelle Meheux was born in London and now lives in West Sussex. A painter with a love of Pre-Raphaelite art, she has always been drawn to storytelling through imagery. Over the years, that passion has evolved from brush to pen, allowing her to explore the same sense of wonder and emotion through words. Her debut novel brings together her love of myth, imagination, and human connection — revealing the hidden links between worlds and the stories that live behind every reflection.
From a young age, Michelle’s love of music stirred her imagination — she would spin new stories from the lyrics of songs, letting them play out as vivid scenes in her mind. Those early daydreams became the heartbeat of her writing, where melody and emotion intertwine with characters whose lives rise from the page to ignite our souls and awaken our sense of belonging.
Drawn from her own experiences, her work embraces the full range of human emotion, treating fear as a foundation for growth and every challenge as a doorway to self-discovery.
A central theme in Michelle’s work is the importance of us — the shared humanity that connects every story. She writes to remind readers of their own light, revealing the quiet magic that lives within each of us.
The warmth of Bertha, her Fantasy Fiction story’s central figure, is inspired by the strong, remarkable women Michelle has been proud to know throughout her life. Bertha is a tribute to them — the rare few who quietly spread love, strength, and inspiration to everyone around them.
