Michelle Madiba is a curious, multi-passionate aspiring data analyst and certified virtual assistant with a BSc in Geoinformatics from the University of Pretoria. She was recognized in the top 15% of her class as a Golden Key Honour Society member and is currently sharpening her data science and professional skills through the ALX Data Science and Professional Foundations programs.
Her background blends technical expertise with a heart for service. During university, Michelle gained hands-on experience as an IT technician assistant, collaborated in a team of 17 to manage over 600 devices, and volunteered as a first-year student mentor—developing strong communication, consulting, and problem-solving abilities.
With a unique specialization in spatial data analysis, she is passionate about using data to uncover insights about how the world works and turning those insights into real-world impact. Her long-term goal is to bridge data-driven decision-making with human-centered solutions as a geospatial data scientist or data consultant.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Michelle embraces her creativity and love for movement. She has danced in a dance company, joined a cheerleading team, enjoys hiking with friends, and regularly practices yoga. Her favorite place to recharge is the kitchen, where she’s perfecting the art of sourdough and baking for her family—an extension of her values of nurturing, service, and joy.
