FAC-SIMILE

FAC- SIMILE was born as a fanzine and uses the key-words used in the election campaigns of the main Italian parties. The strategy adopted by them was to use just one word with an extremely generic and mis-interpretable meaning. This work underlines the disconnection between the parties and the voters, caused by this strategy. In fact, by extracting the words from the relative campaign they all are exchangeable and they have no true political meaning. The project FAC-SIMILE simply associates these slogans with 6 photographies of power structures of the city of Torino in a merely logical way. In order we have the Vittorio Emanuele II monument, the shopping center Le Gru, the Cathedral, the Justice Palace, the Juventus Stadium and the Intesa San Paolo building. The cover is designed like a ballot and thanks to the classic design of the fanzine, it can be opened completely like a proper ballot.
