About Me

Since starting a career in the childcare industry more than 30 years ago, I have accumulated a wide variety of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. I enjoy sharing the knowledge that I've learned and have been an ongoing mentor to many leaders who share my passion for early childhood education.   I see myself as a lifelong learner and I believe my experiences have given me unique perspectives from all areas of this important field:

• For nearly 17 years, I served as Early Childhood and ECSE teacher and Peer Coach in a large metro school district

• Served as Early Childhood Education Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Education where I oversaw the Pyramid Model Project, Evaluation and Assessment, and State Literacy lead for early childhood

• For 10 years, I managed all Early Childhood programs including early childhood preschool, preschool childcare, ECFE, screening, school readiness, Pathway Scholarships, outreach, and early childhood special education for Eastern Carver County Schools

• I currently serve as Director of Early Learning in Wayzata Public Schools

I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Masters in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education.  I hold additional licenses as a K-12 Principal and as a Director of Special Education.
