About Me
I am currently a TT Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at Colorado College. I obtained my BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and earned an M.A. and PhD. in Economics from Colorado State University.
My field of interest is Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. My current research specifically focuses on the environment and ecosystems change and involves modelling the consequences of terrestrial activities and climate change for freshwater and coastal marine ecosystems. I am particularly interested in the environmental justice implications of climate change and environmental policies and am currently pursuing exploratory research in this area.
I am passionate about teaching and have taught several courses, including introductory level microeconomics and macroeconomics. In the most recent past, I have been particularly focused on teaching and developing environmental economics courses that include a focus on environmental justice as well as collaborative community engagement.
