Micheal Jones was born in Southwest Oklahoma, in 1951.
By the age of 12, Jones had sold his first oil painting, starting a career that would intrigue collectors across the United States and around the world.
By the age of 14, Micheal was exhibiting in galleries, and selling to collectors across the United States.Â
Later, Micheal earned his Master's Degree in Fine Art, and studied advanced watercolor techniques with Robert Earle Wood and George Emmet Calvert.
He has exhibited in such notable juried shows as Watercolor West in Los Angeles, National Exhibition of American Watermedia in New York, and the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition. A set of his mezzotints is currently touring Russia with the International Mezzotint Exhibition Invitational Tour.
Throughout his early life, Micheal continued a steady pace of painting and exhibiting, often with as many as 20 exhibits per year, while juggling up to 7 galleries simultaneously.
Now he works at a less frenetic pace, producing large-scale oil and acrylic paintings, along with watercolors, and hand-pulled etchings, mezzotints, and linocuts in his spacious studio in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where he lives with his wife of 52 years.
