Michael Villanueva's Professional Portfolio

A look into the career of a graduate mechanical engineer in training from San Francisco State University

ABOUT ME

My name is Michael Villanueva, and I am a young, driven mechanical engineer in training who graduated from San Francisco State University in 2017. Recently, I was a Mechanical Design Intern at NEXTracker, helping them develop their patented single-axis solar tracker. I was previously a lead member of the Body Fabrication team for Innovation Hangar Solar Car, a nonprofit student-community collaboration program dedicated to the design, build, and application of San Francisco State's competitive solar race car. My main goal, however, is to work in the automotive industry, so that I may help to develop safer vehicles to mitigate or prevent auto-related injuries and fatalities. Aside from this, I also have several other projects under my belt encompassing everything from Mechanical Design to Mechatronics. My hope is that my skills and ambitions will take me far in the fast-paced world of technology and engineering.
