Big Bertha Replica

This was my final project for my second semester of taking a SOLIDWORKS course at Skyline College back in 2013. I opened up an engineering magazine I had lying around and saw an article on Big Bertha, Seattle's 57 foot diameter tunnel boring mahine built for the Alaskan Way Viaduct tunnel replacement project. I was instantly taken aback by the beauty in Bertha's design. I set forth to design a simplified replica of the tunnel bore on SOLIDWORKS with little to no schematic guides. All I had were online photos and a lot of patience. This page shows the final results of my endeavor.
