A bit chilly for feeding the duckies!

Sarah was one of the lovely nurses who we spent so much time with over the years or so after his elbow replacement operation in 2013. It unfortunately had a few ops as it did not heal up properly and involved a skin graft from his leg to cover the hole at his elbow! It then became infected and involved daily dressings by me for years as the various anti biotics did not work....her tribute below 💕

Thank you so much for your email. Though it was such a shock, and such sad news, I was really touched that you contacted me! Michael was a one off, and he really was a special patient... in our career we are lucky to be able to be involved in a segment of people’s lives, and along the way, there are a handful that you never forget. Michael was definitely in that category for me...such a wit, but with such a genuine charm behind it all. Up until recently, I had a lovely photo of us in the dreaded treatment room, but having just moved, and with a lot of stuff in storage, I haven’t so far managed to find it.

I received the email at work, and managed a brief look through, but now I’ve forwarded it to my home email, I can’t access the website? Could you re send? I’d love to read that poem again, but at leisure. What a love you shared! How lucky you both were 💕
