Tutorial: How to understand and apply Widgets to your Apple device!
Widgets are a mini depiction of an application or feature with specificity for ease of access. Can also be used for a multitude of reasons including Design and self expression, ease of use towards an app *similar* to a shortcut and can be used to just overall make life easier when using them. To access Widgets on your device you first must unlock your apple device and immediately swipe to the left. Then when you are at the first page you must hold your finger onto the background *or an app* to access editing options on the apple device. Then you must swipe left to access the Widget screen. This will grant you access to the Widget selection tab and you can choose whatever Widget you might want to add. When interacting with certain Widgets it allows you to adjust their size to whatever the user so decides. Know that some applications that come from the app store also include and come with their own Widgets. "Spotify" is most notable in this department. Going into the app store you can find even more customization tools for your Widgets. Apps for example that can assist in this customization are as follow.
Widgetsmith
Color Widget
Widget Wizard
Though they cannot add widgets in the traditional sense you are able to tie them with the shortcut application for even more customization. This concludes the tutorial on using "Widgets" for your apple device. May the students of BHS display their creativity with their new and creative tools!
In class today when fixing the video. I had changed the upload type to display a unlisted YouTube video. Hopefully this helped in displaying the video towards the public. If not I'll be able to remove it's listing an make it public. Maybe adding a link to it even if it continues to not work.
Friday in class we had our presentations due. For my presentation I had presented CMU Academy. A program that follows the basic rules of python. Within CMU Academy we are able to create functions of our own and to create variables to go along with them. What I had made for the Presentation was a map of Burlington itself. Since then I've been constantly updating the code for my AP computer science class. With some help from a college friend we had figured out to give coordinates to the pin points we have listed. The code can be seen here.
Today in class we had further explore Flowlabs and game programming. What I had done was create a character and attempted to install a way to hold a key whilst the character moves. Seeing as the rest of the class continue to have issues with it I had come up with a time later to watch tutorials and such.
In recent times during class, we have decided to look more towards applications that involve music. We had gone over GarageBand and what routes sound editing software can lead us down towards.
