Michael Petruska

Michael Petruska is a dedicated Realtor affiliated with Keller Williams’ Chestnut Hill office, serving the vibrant Boston MetroWest area. He brings to his real estate clients not only the resources and network of the world’s largest real estate franchise—Keller Williams, with its 1,000+ market center offices and over 162,000 agents worldwide—but also a unique perspective shaped by years of experience in the financial sector. Keller Williams remains a leader in the U.S. market for both transaction volume and total units sold, a testament to its commitment to service, innovation, and client results.

What truly sets Michael apart is his dual background in real estate and finance. His career began not with properties but with people and portfolios, as he helped hundreds of individuals and businesses reach their financial goals as a trusted financial advisor. Michael has leveraged these experiences to deliver superior guidance, vigorous advocacy, and powerful negotiation for his real estate clients, whether they are purchasing a first home, selling a family property, or investing in a diverse portfolio.

From Financial Advisory to Real Estate Strategy

Michael’s journey in the professional world began at Equitable Life Insurance. As a Financial Advisor, he worked closely with over 1,500 client households, managing more than $170 million in assets. His core mission was to educate clients and provide thoughtful, tailored recommendations that would help them build, preserve, and transfer wealth across generations. Michael’s deep understanding of investments, market trends, and risk management now forms the foundation of his real estate strategy, giving clients a critical edge in a complex and fast-moving market.

His responsibilities included developing comprehensive financial plans, conducting market research, and executing trades. Michael also led educational seminars and on-site literacy sessions to empower clients with the tools and knowledge they needed to make confident financial decisions.

Leadership and Legacy: Mentoring the Next Generation

Michael’s success as an advisor naturally led to a leadership role. As Vice President at Equitable Life, he was entrusted with managing and growing the Boston office’s talent. He recruited, trained, and mentored new advisors, expanding the reach and reputation of the Retirement Benefits Group. Michael’s influence extended throughout New England, where he helped advance financial literacy among diverse communities and oversaw business opportunities in multiple channels.

In management, Michael Petruska oversaw assets totaling more than $450 million, advised over 5,000 relationships, and guided several advisors into management themselves. His teams achieved national recognition, and his leadership style—marked by integrity, accountability, and a genuine desire to see others succeed—remains a hallmark of his professional identity.

Industry Awards and Professional Distinction

Michael’s dedication has been recognized at the national level. He was honored with the Management Development Award as one of the top five managers in the United States in 2021. His early promise was acknowledged by Advisor Today magazine, which named him a NAIFA 4 Under 40 Award winner, celebrating young advisors making outstanding contributions to their clients and communities.

Additionally, Michael has been a multi-year recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award (2018-2021), a mark of excellence based on client satisfaction, strong retention, and high ethical standards.

Active in numerous professional organizations, Michael is committed to continuous learning and networking, continually seeking ways to broaden his expertise and deepen the value he brings to those he serves.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bryant University, where he was involved in Greek life, athletics, and completed several key internships in finance. He maintains FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses, along with multiple state licenses for Life, Accident, and Health insurance—credentials that strengthen his analytical approach to both finance and real estate.

Outside of work, Michael Petruska is a passionate supporter of youth sports and community service. For more than a decade, he has volunteered as a coach for the Milford Youth Baseball League and spent three years coaching youth football. Each year, he supports and donates to the Pan Mass Challenge, raising critical funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

He enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling with family, hiking, golfing, fitness, and racing, always seeking new adventures and opportunities to give back.
