Early Legal Career

For over a decade, Michael was a licensed attorney handling both civil and criminal matters all over the State. He has conducted over 115 jury trials, argued 37 appeals, and represented a national case of first impression before the Colorado Supreme Court. He investigated his cases thoroughly, prepared meticulously, and pursued justice for his clients relentlessly - no matter who or what was on the other side.  As both an empathetic counsellor and fearless litigator, Michael acquired many awards over that time, including AVVO Client's Choice awards three years in a row, along with Top 40 Under 40, Top 10 Criminal Defense Lawyers in Colorado, and Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America. Michael faced a series of challenging situations in 2018, and regrettably made the wrong decisions on how to resolve them.  Since then, he has done what any other successful person who has ever inevitably failed before did: accept, learn, make amends, and focus on improving going forward.
