Michael D. Brown is the Head of Research at RunSybil, working on building an automated, AI-driven offensive security platform. Over the last decade, Michael has led and worked on countless research projects applying AI/ML techniques to solve software security problems and assuring the security and safety of AI/ML systems. He is best known for leading one of the three winning teams (2nd place overall) in DARPA and ARPA-H's AI Cyber Challenge (AIxCC).
Michael is a former Ph.D. (ABD) student at Georgia Tech where he studied security-oriented software analysis and transformation techniques. Michael earned his M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech and his B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Cincinnati.
Prior to his work in software security, Michael was on active duty for eight years in the U.S. Army where he served as a UH-60M pilot and Aviation Mission Survivability Officer.Â
