I am a Research Associate in the Institute for Prairie Archaeology at the University of Alberta. I am particularly interested in understanding the population biology of multiethnic aboriginal populations, which involves the analysis of biological evidence along with material culture such as moccasins. To that end, I have been working with Professor Jack Ives to build a paleodemographic profile of the inhabitants of Caves 1 and 2 of Promontory Point in Utah, in order to test the hypothesis that Apachean Athapaskan ancestors migrated through the Great Basin from Northern Canada.
