I dedicate a positive portion of time every day on my own hobbies, including music, sports, cooking, gaming, etc.
I began learning piano at the age of four as my first instrument. I passed my ABRSM Grade 8 Theory (with distinction) at eleven and obtained the diploma Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL, with distinction) at twelve. After that, I decided to ease off taking music exams and instead enjoy music from a broader and different perspective. I began learning other instruments such as the violin, tuba, trumpet, etc. I also had the opportunity to serve as the conductor of the string ensemble in my secondary school. I am deeply honored to have been taught by several teachers from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), especially Mr. Kinwai Shum.
To this day, I still play music almost every week and spend time composing whenever inspiration strikes.
Doing sports is a great way for me to relax and refresh my mind. I was part of the basketball, swimming, and handball team in my secondary school before injuring one of my ligaments. After spending a few years healing (roughly during my undergraduate studies), I started doing sports again. Now I hit the gym regularly with my friends, and I also serve as a member of the Vancouver handball team, competing leagues across Vancouver and North America.
