Hi, I'm Michael. I am a second year Ph.D. pre-candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of British Columbia, supervised by Prof. Lele Wang. I'm also a PhD student of the Institute of Applied Mathematics. My research interest lies in topics related to information theory and probability theory. Currently, I'm working on some problems in classical random graph theory and quantum information theory.
Prior to joining UBC, I obtained my Bachelor's degree with a first class honors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Mathematics and Information Engineering. During my undergraduate study, I worked on several research projects. See here for more details.
