Michael Rustom’s career in the information technology sector spans nearly three decades. A native of Toronto, Michael began his academic journey at St. Michael’s Choir School before attending Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he studied Religion and History. His journey in sales began in 1997 when he joined AT&T as an outside sales representative. There, his talent for securing new business and exceeding sales targets propelled him to success, and his career began in earnest.
Throughout his professional life, Michael Rustom has been known for his strategic approach to sales and his ability to foster long-term client relationships. His tenure at Scalar Decisions (now CDW) was particularly noteworthy, as he played a key role in expanding the company’s reach into new markets, including the financial technology, natural resource extraction, and government sectors. As Director of Sales for Ontario and Quebec, and later as Vice President of Sales, Michael led high-performing teams and managed complex technology portfolios, consistently surpassing sales goals and earning the hard-won trust of his clients.
In 2022, driven by his innate entrepreneurial spirit, Michael Rustom founded his own IT consulting firm, simply calling it Michael Rustom Inc. Drawing on his decades of extensive experience, he now offers specialized consulting services, helping businesses of all sizes and descriptions navigate the complexities of sales, technology integration, and project management. Michael’s approach to problem-solving is rooted in a deep understanding of the IT landscape.
