My epic journey through Africa was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, filled with landscapes, cultures, and wildlife that I could’ve only imagined. I traveled across some of the toughest terrains—from the scorching heat of the Sahara Desert to the dense, mysterious jungles of central Africa, and the rich wildlife of East Africa. The incredible diversity of this continent has left an indelible mark on me. Sure, it wasn’t always easy—there were brutal roads, unforgiving weather, and some truly harsh environments. But every moment was worth it, revealing a side of the world most travellers only dream about.

I had the privilege to discover some of Africa’s best-kept secrets across Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, The Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Highlights:

• Crossing the vast Sahara Desert felt like entering another world.

• In Sierra Leone, I discovered hidden beaches that few get to experience.

• I met rescued chimps at the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which was an unforgettable encounter.

• I explored the rich and ancient practice of Voodoo at a fetish market.

• Traveling through the dense jungles and rugged terrains was both challenging and awe-inspiring.

• In Etosha National Park, I went on game drives by day and relaxed by floodlit waterholes at night.

• I wandered the dramatic sand dunes of Sossusvlei, some of the highest in the world.

• The sheer power and majesty of Victoria Falls left me speechless.

• A 4x4 safari through the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park brought me face to face with the Big 5.

• I trekked to see the magnificent Mountain Gorillas, an unforgettable encounter with the largest living primate.

• In Ethiopia, I was awed by the rock-hewn churches and ancient monasteries.

• I visited the surreal salt lakes and rock formations at Lac Assal and Lac Abbe in Djibouti.

• Hiking in the Simien Mountains and witnessing the eerie beauty of the Danakil Depression and Erta Ale Volcano was something out of this world.

• I spent nights camping under the vast, starry skies of the Nubian Desert in Sudan.

• Finally, I immersed myself in the rich history and culture of Ancient Egypt, a true highlight of my adventure.

This journey was beyond anything I’ve done before—Africa’s endless landscapes, vibrant cultures, and incredible wildlife will stay with me forever.
