Michael Chavira worked as a systems engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton before founding Axiologic Solutions to protect the country's US Army soldiers. Chavira learned the value of focusing on the human component of complex systems here. The military frequently works through significant acquisitions and complex systems. Still, by failing to focus on the end user, these systems are often not operating to full capacity or as efficiently as possible. This revelation prompted Chavira to consider starting a business and how he would run it differently if he could. "It was during this time in my life that Tom Stauber and I started talking about starting a company," Chavira explained. "We wanted to take the lessons we'd both learned in our careers and apply them to being an employee-centric company as best we could." Since we met in graduate school at UVA, we decided to concentrate on what we both knew very well: systems engineering."
Over the last decade, Chavira and Stauber have taken the same approach to providing best-in-class services to their customers to grow their business and ensure their internal processes are running as smoothly as possible. "As our company grew, we quickly realized how critical it was to improve our business processes." The mentality required to reach your first $1 million in sales is vastly different from that needed to run a $20 million business." This realization prompted Chavira to consult with other business owners, often those running much larger companies, to inquire about the tools and processes they used to run their businesses. "My thoughts were that if we could adopt some of these tools before we needed them, we would outperform our peers during our growth phases."
Michael Chavira founded Axiologic Solutions, based in Fairfax, VA, in 2009 with Managing Partner Thomas Stauber, also a veteran. "We work with defense contractors to help keep the country safe," Chavira says of the company. We help the government solve complex problems." This may appear to be an understatement, given how Axiologic Solutions works with the defense, intelligence, and government communities to protect the country's welfare.
Chavira and Stauber have made it their mission to collaborate with their clients to find the best solution to their problems. Chavira founded Axiologic Solutions to emphasize the human component of complex engineering systems. Axiologic Solutions has become one of Northern Virginia's most successful and respected engineering consultants by closely collaborating with subject matter experts, developing prototypes, and listening to their clients' needs.
