My name is Michael A. Brunke. I am a Research Scientist in the Land-Atmophere-Ocaen Interaction Group at The University of Arizona's Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences. I like to say that I play with climate models in order to make them better. In order to do that, we need to better understand all of the aspects of the current climate. That gives us a foundation to know how climate models represent the current climate and where the climate is going to go in the future.
You can know more about me by reviewing my:
I use observations, satellite measurements, and assimilated data to further understanding of the current climate and for the improvement of climate models. Topics that I focus on include:
Boundary layer meteorology | Air-sea interaction | Atmosphere-land interactions | Climate analysis | Climate modeling
I've also contributed significantly to these projects:
ACTIVATE | CESM | E3SM | SEAFLUX | VOCALS
Here is my publication list.
