In the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Iowa, I research public formation through cultural heritage information systems from popular social-media platforms to community archives. I also teach courses in cultural metadata, LIS computing, and community archives, and serve as the co-chair of the DH in Lib* SIG for the Association for Computers and the Humanities, as well as on the advisory board of the online Walt Whitman Archive.
