Born and raised in the West Midlands with a large extended family spread across the country, I have been surrounded by vast & varied musical preference my entire life. I want to be the South-Asian representation in the music industry that I rarely see. I also like to bake and am a fangirl at heart.
Taking music production courses at GCSE and A-Level levels has helped me realise I want to work in the music industry but not as a creative - I’m just not that person. But I am confident, organised, & innovative, and working in the live music industry is something I’ve been aspiring to for quite a while now. Music is something that is so integral in everyone’s lives, so being a part of the team behind it is kinda cool to me.
Knowing my way around DAWs also let me write album reviews from a unique perspective where I can interpret the artist's intention and vision through production as well as lyricism and genre. This combined with my ameteur photography skills help broaden my experience outside of event management specifically.
My main focus is live events.
As an avid concert-goer, and now knowing what goes on below the public eye, I always find myself noticing the little things that the average attendee may not. I love live music in general, even if it’s not to my music taste, but especially small concerts. The feeling of being able to experience the songs that mean so much to me in a live setting with others that they’ve had a similar effect on is immeasurable.
Concerts are where my social media presence started. In 2022 I started my concert blog detailing every concert I go to with my insight from an operational and technical point of view as well as a music lover’s one. I love being that person in the crowd that knows what’s going on behind the scenes.
