MI Chits ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you use our mobile application "MI Chits" ("App").

We collect only the minimum information required to provide the core functionality of the app:

Mobile phone number
Customer ID / Chit ID
This information is used only to identify you as a registered subscriber and display your chit account details.
b) Device Information
Device ID
Basic device information needed for authentication and app security
c) Location Information (Optional)
Coarse location may be collected only if you allow it, for login security validation and to help locate nearby branch offices.
We do NOT collect precise or background location data.
d) Camera Access (Optional)
Used only if you choose to scan a QR code or upload a verification document. We do not access your camera at any other time.
e) Files & Documents Access (Optional)
Used only to let you view, save, or share your Statements and Passbook records as PDF files on your device.
f) Push Notifications (Optional)
Used to send alerts about auction outcomes, installment dues, and payment confirmations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for:
Authenticating your account via OTP
Displaying your chit groups, payment schedules, and passbook/ledger details
Generating downloadable Statement and Passbook PDFs
Ensuring app security and preventing unauthorized access
Providing customer support
We do NOT use your data for:
Advertising
Marketing
Analytics
Tracking across apps or websites
3. What We Do NOT Do
We do NOT:
Sell or rent your personal data
Share data with advertisers
Track users across other apps
Collect financial credentials (e.g., UPI PINs, card details, bank passwords)
Access SMS messages or contact lists
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except:
Trusted service providers (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification service) solely to deliver app notifications
When required by law, applicable chit fund regulations, or valid court orders
We do NOT share your data for advertising or analytics purposes.

We protect your information using:
Secure communication (HTTPS/TLS encryption)
Restricted access limited to authenticated sessions and authorized personnel
Industry-standard security measures
However, no system can be guaranteed fully secure.
