MHSLA is pleased to offer two member scholarships and one student scholarship for the 2026 MHSLA Conference
All scholarships include full conference registration (including CE courses), lodging (2 nights), and meals. Recipients of a scholarship will be expected to write a brief summary of their conference experience for the MHSLA Musings or equivalent organizational newsletter.
Awardee will be selected after the application period closes. Applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the application deadline.
Applicants must be MHSLA members. Members may submit applications for both scholarships
Eligibility: Any MHSLA member who needs financial support in order to attend the annual conference
To Apply: Complete the Member-At-Large Application Form by September 14. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
Scholarship winner will be determined by lottery
Eligibility: Any MHSLA member employed in a hospital library or equivalent (e.g. the member currently holds a librarian role in a hospital, but position title may be information specialist or other)
To Apply: Complete the LeBar Scholarship Application Form by September 14. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
Scholarship winner will be determined by lottery
This scholarship is generously funded by the LeBar Family in memory of Diane LeBar, a longstanding, active member of the Michigan Health Sciences Libraries Association
Eligibility: Applicants must be either a student in a Michigan Library Science program (e.g. Library Technician degree; Masters in Library Science, either on campus or via distance learning) or a library science student working in a Michigan health sciences library taking classes online in a non-Michigan program.
To Apply: please complete the Student Scholarship Application Form by September 14, 2026. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
