Photography
Class meets 6 periods per cycle, 1 semester
This is an introductory course for students who have an interest in learning photography as an art form. Students will be provided a working knowledge of a camera, the computer, Adobe Photoshop, processes and techniques to produce digital works of art and the history of Photography. Creative interpretation is developed through the use of additional hardware such as the digital camera, scanners and various printing techniques. Coursework will include but not be limited to assignments and exercises emphasizing the use of software tools, composition, color, digital imagery, web design and the use of digital imaging for expressive purposes. It is highly recommended for students to provide their own 8 gb memory card.
*This class counts as a STEM (Science, Technology/Computers, Engineering, Math) Requirement.
