Deaf people are individuals who have little or no functional hearing. Like blind people, they rely on their other senses to navigate their environment. Deafness can be caused by genetic conditions, diseases, and injuries, and can range from mild to profound.

Challenges in their life:

Deaf people face unique challenges in their daily lives, such as communication, education, and socialization. Many deaf individuals communicate through sign language, which is a visual language that uses hand gestures, facial expressions, and body language. However, not all deaf people have access to sign language or communication technologies, which can limit their ability to interact with others.

What we can do/Support: 

To support deaf people, society needs to provide accommodations, such as sign language interpretation, closed captioning, and assistive technologies. Additionally, education and awareness campaigns can help dispel misconceptions about deafness and promote inclusion. With these efforts, we can help deaf people live independent and fulfilling lives.
