Shiny Pokémon are special varients of regular Pokémon with different color schemes. Their stats or battling ability don't change, but their rarity makes them very valuable. Shiny hunters like myself go out of their way to search for these special varients, often by using methods such as SOS Chains, Friend Safari, the PokéRadar, etc.
