Cancer Immunotherapy: The lab aims to find out novel therapeutics against cancer, specially by targeting various immune checkpoints exploiting the structural aspects of the ctargets. We are keen in exploring in silico approaches to utilize computational modelling and simulations to predict and optimize immune responses against cancer and accelerate the development of effective immunotherapies.
Impact of SNPs in tumorigenesis and impact on therapy: The team is also interested in understanding the role of mutations on tumour associated physiological processes like angiogenesis. In order to improve cancer diagnosis and therapy, the lab uses relevant proteomic approaches to study tumour-specific pathways, find therapeutic targets, and find biomarkers such as point mutations for early cancer identification and treatment.
Host Pathogen Interaction: ABC lab also focusses on understanding the genetic and biochemical basis of host pathogen interaction.
