Textbook - The math program that we will be using in fifth grade is enVision Mathematics. This program consists of sixteen (16) Topics. Students will be given an assessment at the end of each Topic. However, longer Topics may also have an assessment given halfway through the Topic.

Grading
Homework: 5% (min. of 4 grades)
Class Participation: 5% (min. of 4 grades)
Classwork: 40% (min. of 4 grades)
Projects/Portfolios/Presentations: 5% (min. of 1 grade)
Assessments: 45% (min. of 4 grades)
Homework Policy Ms. Houston
Homework will go home on Tuesday and Thursday night unless notified otherwise because of an assessment.
Tuesday homework will be due on Thursday.
Thursday homework will be due on Monday.
When Topic Reviews go home, they will always be EXTRA CREDIT towards the assessment.
Late Work:
I only accept late work during the current topic we are on. Once we test and move on from a topic, I will no longer receive late work for that topic.
I DO NOT accept late extra credit, unless the student is absent on the day of the assessment.
Mrs. Wilson - Students will have homework Monday through Thursday. It will be due the day after it is assigned. When a practice test is sent home as homework, it can be turned in the day of the test for extra credit. Typically, students will not have weekend assignments. Students are encouraged to use the weekend to redo assignments and practice skills from the week.
