MASTER SCHEDULE OF ROTATIONS OF RESIDENTS & OTHER LEARNING ACTIVITIES
The curriculum is designed for training physicians who are already working or practicing in the community but have no formal residency training in the past, or completed residency training in another specialization. It provides an alternative system for education, training and assessment of general practitioners and primary care physicians.
It is a 4 year residency training program:
- The first year of training is primarily focused on teaching the Foundation Courses of Family Medicine and primary care management.
- The second and third years of training is exposure to the different specialty divisions through hospital rotations and preceptorial learning. This is also the start of research education.
- The fourth year level would concentrate on the community empowerment, practice management and final research paper presentation.
