For your reference here is a summary of the current Phase 2 and Phase 3 MG Drug Trials (source):

Exploring Outcomes and Characteristics of Myasthenia Gravis 2 (EXPLORE-MG2)  If you have a clinicial diagnosis of myasthenia gravis (MG) you may be eligible to participate in the EXPLORE-MG2 study, which is a multi-center natural history study of myasthenia gravis (MG), a rare autoimmune disease characterized by weakness of the voluntary muscles. The primary purpose of this project is to create a network repository of data and biological samples to help researchers learn more about myasthenia gravis.

Hello MG Community - Below is a flyer for an MG study in Irvine, California, by Dianthus, which was referred to me by Dr. Habib of UCI. The age for participants is 18 - 59 and participants are NOT injecting themselves (or anyone else)--they will simulate injections into injection pads. If qualified, compensation is $500.

(Note: Possibly due to a recent merger with Selecta Biosciences, the U.C. Irvine links below for Cartesian Therapeutics are not landing on the appropriate web pages.  They do say to contact them at trials@cartesiantx.com. The Carlsbad link, fortunately, is still working.  As of 1/14/2024 the trial is still open for enrollment)

Hi, Everyone!  On July 24 you received an email regarding an ongoing and groundbreaking research study in MG, sponsored by Cartesian Therapeutics (https://cartformg.org/), involving RNA.  Currently it is in Phase II and will soon be starting Phase III of the clinical trials.

Cartesian is actively recruiting MGers here in Southern California!  The local sponsor of the study is U.C. Irvine, and I think the testing site is at the UCI Manchester Pavilion in downtown Orange, CA (right in the middle of Orange County).  Those interested can apply online at https://cartformg.org/university-of-california-irvine/.  (If this link doesn't work then just go to https://cartformg.org/ and choose "FIND A STUDY CENTER"; it's the first site listed.)

There's also another study site (also recruiting) farther south in Carlsbad at the Neurology Center of Southern California (https://cartformg.wpengine.com/research-center-of-southern-california/) which might interest those living closer to, or in, San Diego.

There are some restrictions (e.g., no Ocular-only MGers; a few of the current drug therapies; etc.) but I think most group members who have active MG might qualify.  Click the appropriate link(s) above if you are interested in finding out more info or to see if you might qualify for the study.

(Note 8/17/2023:  In a recent online presentation the speaker from Cartesian mentioned that subjects must be taking less than 40mg Prednisone daily as a qualification.)
