About
"Seeker Class" is is a “broad overview” course peppered with ideas for you to explore more deeply on your own. While it is simply not possible to teach about all the branches of paganism in five classes, it is possible to begin to understand what modern paganism can include.
Many thanks to Pagan Awareness Network in Australia for allowing us to use their brochures!
Objectives
In class we will explore various brochures and articles, take a look at video clips, and share our personal experiences during class discussion. In this way, the students will travel from "broad pagan" to "specific pagan" and will get an idea of how different pagans practice and how different pagan groups are structured.
Students in this class will leave with
The basic understanding that not all pagans are the same kind of pagan
Be able to name some pagan beliefs from some pagan paths
Be able to know how to tell a safe pagan group from an unsafe one
Some new ideas to help with your personal spiritual practices or to take home to your own pagan groups
Who is this for?
Seekers not ready for an intensive like Paganism 101 (Class series of 10)
Experienced students wanting to share their knowledge with others and/or come back to "beginner eyes."
Solitaries who might want to be in a group setting for a short while
CUUPs chapter leaders or members wanting to take a simple seeker class “home” to their chapters.
