This is a place for me to document and record my progress with my college courses. To be able to see the growth I will be experiencing from here on forth with this new chapter of my life.
Hello everyone my name is Mollea Roseanna Greylord. I was raised with poverty, abuse, and addiction. My parents struggled with these things and I grew up thinking it was normal. I was an active addict and alcoholic by the age of 13. I struggled with boundaries, healthy relationships, and even my self-worth. I had a second chance at life when I went into recovery over 9 years ago. I had the opportunity to gain a supportive community and learn tools to heal and love myself. This inspired me to give back to others, especially people who are struggling with addiction. I want to give people information to take steps and make healthier choices.
I currently have my CSAC. After that, I plan to continue my education at either UW-Oshkosh or Marian University to pursue a Bachelors Degree and then a Masters Degree in Psychology and/or Social Work. After I graduate from MPTC, I started my career right away by using my AODA license at a recovery facility to which I assisted with MAT. I am still trying to figure out if I want to help adults or juveniles, as I am interested in getting involved with both. I want to pursue a broad career path that allows me to help as many people as possible. I am passionate about being a counselor, to continue to learn about and address the root problems that lead to addiction.
