Waste is unusable materials or unwanted substance that is discarded after primary use. The total municipal solid waste generated annually on earth is 2.01 billion tonnes. Waste generated by people worldwide per person per day averages 0.74 kilograms but ranges widely, from 0.11 to 4.54 kilograms. Waste material is a serious threat to the environment, so there is the necessity for their proper remediation. Bioremediation is the technique that employs the use of animates, like microorganisms, plants, etc., in the elimination of contaminants, pollutants, and toxins from soil, water, and other environments. Bioremediation is used to clean up oil spills or contaminated groundwater. Our lab focuses on such environmental sections that require remediation and we are into it, finding sources for remediation and environmental cure.
