DR. VIJAY TRIPATHI

Dr Vijay Tripathi joined the Department of Microbiology, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, in October 2023 as an Associate Professor. Dr Tripathi is an environmental biotechnologist cum bioinformatician to answer questions related to the dissemination of antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB) and antibiotic-resistance genes (ARGs) in the anthropogenic environment using culturable and unculturable techniques. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor (Selection grade) at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Engineering, Jacob Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering and Assistant Director Resaerch (E&T), in the Directorate of Research, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, U.P., India. He was a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Soil, Water, and Environmental Science, Agricultural Research Organization, Israel and worked on the detection and characterization of Integron-associated ARB  and ARGs in different European wastewater treatment plants more..
