Teaching
I strive to create an environment for informed conversation and active learning in all of my courses. In November 2018, I was awarded the 2019 CSU College of Liberal Arts Excellence in Teaching Award in the Graduate Teaching Category. This award recognizes faculty and instructors who "positively impact students through innovative, rigorous courses and supportive practices outside of the classroom." I completed the CSU Institute for Learning and Teaching Graduate Certificate Program in February 2019.
