Mass General Brigham for Children is a children's hospital within the Massachusetts General Hospital. Since its founding, Mass General Hospital has been a general hospital, committed to caring for patients across the lifespan. Mass General Hospital was the first provider of pediatric services in Boston and has been caring for children since 1821. Mass General Brigham for Children currently has over 300 physicians within 50 medical specialties and 15 surgical services, and we treat over 170,000 patients annually. We are a pediatric referral center for the Mass General Brigham and a teaching service for Harvard Medical School. We have a Pediatrics Residency Program, a Medicine - Pediatrics Residency Program, and 5 Pediatric Fellowships: Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Adolescent Medicine.

We join with the residency program and other fellowship programs for wellness activities, advocacy, and advancement of medical education. As part of the larger Mass General Hospital, we are dedicated to providing a medical home for entire families, coordinating care and working with our colleagues to provide seamless and superb care starting from the neonatal period.

Boston has 35 colleges and universities, making it a young and vibrant place to live! It offers much to explore -- parks, restaurants, historic sites, museums, theater, music, and festivals. Day trips from Boston include visits to the beach, the White Mountains, the Berkshires, and the Maine Coast.
Mass General Hospital residents, fellows, and staff live in Boston, Cambridge (right across the river from Boston) and surrounding towns, many of which are accessible using the subway (the T), which also has a stop right at Mass General Hospital. Both Boston and Cambridge are comprised of multiple neighborhoods, each with a slightly different character. Many residents and fellows also live in nearby Somerville, as well as multiple other surrounding towns accessible by bus or T. Trainee parking is available for purchase for residents and fellows who want to live farther from the hospital and drive into work.
