Bio
Since 2021 I am an Associate Professor of Economics at University of Bologna. Previously I worked at University of Copenhagen, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile and Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina. Since 2010 I am a regular visiting professor at Study Center Gerzensee. I also held visiting research positions at IIES, Columbia University, Bank of Spain and CEMFI.
I have a PhD in Economics from MIT, and licentiates degrees in Economics and Physics from Universidad de Buenos Aires. My main areas of research are Macroeconomics, Finance, Political Economy, and Public Finance. My research has been published in Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Economic Dynamics, Journal Of Economic Dynamics & Control, and European Economic Review. I have been a consultant for IADB, and have received several grants and awards, including the GDN First Prize medal in Financial Markets, a Fulbright research grant, and a fellowship at Bank of Spain.
