Matthew Gentry Durham
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Riverside.
Previously, I was a Gibbs Assistant Professor at Yale University, where my mentor was Yair Minsky. Before that, I was an RTG Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, under the supervision of Dick Canary. I completed my doctoral work under the guidance of Daniel Groves at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

I recently co-organizing (with Thomas Koberda) the first Riverside Workshop on Geometric Group Theory, which was held during March 27-31 2023. Please see the conference website for more information. We hope to organize future iterations.
