History
History
Founded by Lagofaatasi Wilson Logo in Nov. 2022, MFYSL was named after two of Coach Logos Childhood friends Marcus Mayes & Mark Freeman, two outstanding young athletes out of the Rancho Cordova/Eastside area who were best friends. In May of 2008, Marcus Mayes's life was sadly cut short at only the age of 18 from gun violence.
In spring of 2020 Mark Freeman passed away from health issues he battled with his entire life.
Both Marcus, Mark and plenty other of youth in the Rancho Cordova/Eastside areas(Lincoln Village, West LA Loma, White Rock, and Coloma) would have benefitted from more sports and youth MENTORSHIP in the community. At MFYSL that is our MISSION! To impact the youth from these forgotten areas of Rancho Cordova! Will you join the MISSION?
