Mexico vs. Honduras: El Tri achieves the heroic and advances to the Final Four on penalties

Mexico suffered, struggled, but in the end they achieved it. Under the rain at the Azteca , they were able to come back from 0-2 on aggregate against Honduras, tying it in the last minute and then, in the penalty shootout, sealing their ticket to the Final Four of the Leagues Cup, and a place in the Cup America next year. 

The first mission against the H was not to concede goals, and they almost failed. Anthony Lozano was active in the attack and, playing on the counterattack, made the Mexican goal tremble on a couple of occasions. However, Tri 's constant pressure paid off at the close of the first half, when on a free kick, Luis Chávez scored with his exquisite punch. 

Already in the second half, Jaime Lozano's team looked for him in every way. Julián Quiñones and Santiago Giménez came on as replacements, along with César Huerta, and the siege was greater; However, the Catracha defense plus goalkeeper Edrick Menjívar kept the score. All this until in the last play, at 90+10, Edson Álvarez rescued a ball inside the area and sent it to save. 

With this, extra time was forced where there were no more celebrations and the shots from the penalty spot entered, in which Mexico scored four, while Bryan Róchez and Andy Najar failed .
