Safeguarding
Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone. The focus of which is to protect the health, wellbeing and rights of anyone. For our Club, we have a requirement to those who attend, volunteer or visit our ground.
We do this to provide, as far as reasonably practicable an environment that allows members of our community to live free from harm, neglect or abuse.
By following good safeguarding practices and asking all visitors to our ground to to the same means we can reduce the risk to any members of our community.
Parents/carers
As a Club we encourage and promote all parents/carers and those involved with teams to complete the FA Safeguarding For All course.
This enables us a Club to promote safeguarding and how everyone has a part to play in this.

Welfare Officer
Our Club has a designated Welfare Officer. This is a mandatory role as part of our FA affiliation.
Our Welfare Officer performs two key roles within the club.
To be informed and aware of our club responsibility when running activities
Support members of the Committee to understand their 'duty of care' towards children and young people.
Whistleblowing
Whistle-blowing can be used as an early warning system or when it’s recognised that appropriate actions have not been taken. This approach or policy is adopted in many different walks of life.
It is about revealing and raising concerns over misconduct or malpractice within an organisation or within an independent structure associated with it.
Any adult or young person with concerns about a colleague can also use whistle-blowing by calling 0800 169 1863 and asking for The FA's safeguarding team, or via email on safeguarding@TheFA.com.
Alternatively you can go direct the Police or Children’s Social Care and report your concerns there, or to the Child Protection in Sport Unit via cpsu@nspcc.org.uk or the NSPCC Helpline via 0808 800 5000 or by emailing help@nspcc.org.uk
