Players Code of Conduct
The Mexborough Rangers Players Code Of Conduct is designed to provide clear guidelines and expectations to all our registered players.
Our Code of Conduct covers eight key areas:
Want to learn and improve
Respect and encourage my teammates
Support the manager
Never give up
Play fairly and with pride
Be gracious
Promote fair play
Right attitude
Want to learn and improve
Training and games are times to show all your energy and hard work. When you arrive we want you to be ready to learn new things, listen to what the manager says and always keep improving.
Respect and encourage my teammates
We respect each other. We take time for each other. We don't allow any of our players to mock, bully or intimidate anyone in their team.
Support the manager
Your manager will always need the help and support of you and other players in your team. Supporting your manager can mean listening to what they have to say, following their instructions and the rules they set out.
Never give up
Sometimes things don't go to plan. It takes hard work and commitment to be a Ranger. We don't want you to give up, always work hard and to the best you can give.
Play fairly and with pride
Playing for Mexborough Rangers should be something you are proud to do. When in a game you are representing your team but also the Mexborough Rangers Club.
What you do on a football pitch is seen by other teams, other managers and people watching the games.
Whenever wearing the shirt - always play with pride and know you are setting the standard for other Rangers.
Be gracious
Whether a win, loss or draw all our players must act accordingly during and at the end of the game.
Being sporting means shaking the hand of all the players on the other team. Celebrate within your team and do not make fun of other players or teams if they lose.
Promote fair play
We don't expect our players to dive, fake foul or injuries.
We do expect you to avoid bad tackles....
Right attitude
What might happen?
All managers communicate and consult with parents/carers throughout the season.
As a player who has been involved with an incident or allegation the first thing the Club will complete is an investigation. From this a decision will be made, with all those involved updated.
The result of the investigation may mean you :
Have to serve a ban from playing games
Have to pay a fine
Have to undertake training
Have to undertake 1:1 coaching
