Shanti Ma Dasi is a C-IAYT certified Yoga Therapist and 500-hour RYT who has been practicing and loving yoga for over 25 years. After witnessing the transformation that yoga brought to her own life, she felt compelled to become a yoga therapist in order to help others access this peace that she knows is accessible to all beings. Shanti Ma finds peace in life through yoga, chanting, playing the harmonium, hiking, and knitting. She has a special passion for providing trauma-sensitive yoga sessions and classes. Shanti Ma has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has gained unending wisdom through caring for her medically fragile son over the past 23+ years, and finds this to be one of the most rewarding and enriching parts of her life. Shanti Ma has three beautiful adult children, and currently lives in Milton, NY with her son.

Unlike a general yoga class, yoga therapy is tailored to meet your individual needs, health concerns, and goals. Whether you are managing chronic pain, recovering from trauma, PTSD, living with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, grief, or navigating life transitions, yoga therapy offers practical tools to help you feel more balanced, empowered, and connected.
As a certified yoga therapist, I work with you one-on-one or in small groups, creating a safe and supportive space to explore your unique experience. Sessions may include:
Gentle, accessible movement to restore strength and mobility
Breathing techniques to regulate the nervous system
Guided relaxation, mindfulness, and meditation to reduce stress and enhance clarity
Practices that increase body awareness and support emotional resilience
Sound healing including chanting, mantras, harmonium, or singning bowls
Yoga therapy complements conventional medical care and can be a meaningful part of your wellness journey. It meets you where you are—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and helps guide you toward where you want to be.
Trauma-informed therapeutic restorative yoga helps your body move into a state of rest and healing. It supports your body and nervous system in a way that gives your nervous system rest and allows your body to heal Itself. It also supports embodiment. In Restorative yoga, your body Is completely supported In poses - there's no experience required. Experience deep rest, stress relief, and pure bliss! All bodies and levels of ability are welcome!

(first session/intake is 1.5 hours, 1 hour after that)
