i want to get a new metronome, i'm currently using a wittner mini-metronome but i can't hear it well enough. i would like advice about which would be better to get, an electronic tuner or a mechanical one? my issue with the electronic tuners i've had experience -albeit very limited-with is that they have this rather sharp beep. on the other hand, they have have a nifty list of different rhythms to choose from - do people use these a lot? the larger mechanical metronome has a nice loud tick tock, but of course its easy to carry around and has the visual cue. i also used metronome.com and i really like the nicely neutral tock , but i dont have access to my laptop everywhere plus i'd need to get loudspeakers.
