Metronome: Tempo & Tuner is built to respect your privacy completely. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
This policy explains exactly how the app interacts with your device and data.
Information Collection & Tracking
None. The app does not collect or transmit any personal data to us or to anyone else. We do not operate servers that receive your information, and we have no way to identify you. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Device Permissions & Data Handling
Microphone (Tuner): The chromatic tuner requires access to your device's microphone to detect pitch. This audio is analyzed entirely on your device, in real time, and strictly while the tuner is active. Audio is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. Microphone access stops immediately when you leave the tuner, and you can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Notifications: If you enable practice reminders, the app schedules them locally on your device. No reminder data leaves your device, and we do not use remote push notifications from a server. You can disable reminders at any time.
On-Device Storage: Your presets, settings, and Pro status are stored locally on your device. This data is shared directly with the app's Home Screen widgets and Apple Watch app to keep them in sync—it is never uploaded to a server. Deleting the app permanently removes this data from your device.
Purchases
The optional one-time Pro unlock is processed securely by Apple via the App Store. We never see, process, or store your payment details. Your purchase status is managed by Apple and stored on your device. Apple's handling of these transactions is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Because the app collects absolutely no personal data, it is inherently safe for users of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
