Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships

There are many types of apprenticeships available in various fields, including the skilled trades (construction, plumbing/pipefitting, electrician, bricklayer, etc), diesel mechanic, some health professions, and many more. If you are interested in a particular career; it is a good idea to do your research and see if there is an apprenticeship program attached to that career prior to automatically registering to take classes through a local college. Oftentimes, you may need to contact the local business and ask if you can be taken on as an apprentice if the career is more non-traditional. If you have questions about these, or have a difficult time figuring out if your career of choice may have an apprenticeship program attached to it, please stop into the counseling office and we will figure it out together. Also, you can check out this website; it may be helpful when looking up careers that have apprenticeship programs.
