METRO TASK FORCE QUICK REFERENCE
First arriving Primary Unit Officer:
IOSR- "What can you observe from the cab?"
Contact the ROCC, preferably through the ROCC Fire Liaison on radio: Get following:
- Location of incident
- Nature of the incident
- Status of the passengers or other occupants
- Smoke conditions
- Status of the third rail
- Status of train movement
- METRO’s current action plan.
- Any specific intervention requested by METRO (What does METRO need from the Fire Department?)
Give Situation Update Report incl.
- Info from ROCC
- Location, Conditions, Actions (METRO and FD), Needs
- Tactical or Stationary Command?
Standard Objectives:
- Assess: Orient to situation, locate the emergency, access emergency
- Control: Control the emergency by removing hazards, incl. smoke, electricity and ..
- Rescue: assist passengers, extricate, disentangle
- Evacuate: Evacuate and treat the patients.
