METER is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
METER keeps your tracked time on your device. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no trackers. We do not sell or share your data.
What is stored
Everything you create in METER, including projects, clients, time entries, tags, notes, favorites, reports, and settings, is stored locally on your device using Apple technologies. It is not uploaded to any server we control. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
AI features
Some features can generate timesheets, invoices, insights, and summaries for you. When you choose to use one of these features, only the entries in the range you selected are sent, over an encrypted connection through our proxy, to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the result. The result is returned to your device. We do not attach your name, an account, or a device identifier to these requests, and the content is used only to generate your result, not to build a profile or to serve ads.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use analytics or tracking software.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data.
- We do not require an account or a login.
Your control
Your data lives on your device and is under your control. You can delete individual entries at any time, or remove everything by deleting the app. You can also export your data to a standard file whenever you want.
Children
METER is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
